Jamie Ohl named chief operating officer of Wilshire Funds Management

Financial services industry veteran Jamie Ohl has been named chief operating officer of Wilshire Funds Management.

Ohl will report directly to Lawrence E. Davanzo, president of Wilshire Associates.

Ohl joins Wilshire Associates from Hartford Financial Services Group, where she was a senior vice president and director of the firm's retirement plans group.

In her new role, Ohl will bring her 20 years of experience in the investment industry to Wilshire to guide the investment, operations and growth efforts of Wilshire Funds Management.

Wilshire Funds Management has three offices in the US and manages USD56bn of client assets.

"Jamie's 20 years of experience working in the investment industry for a variety of leading insurance companies makes her an outstanding addition to our team," says Davanzo. "Her experience in the variable annuity and retirement industries is especially relevant to Wilshire's clients in the funds management division. I look forward to Jamie's leadership role within our funds management team."

Immediately prior to joining Wilshire Funds Management, Ohl spent four years with the Hartford Financial Services Group, where she spearheaded its entry into the 403(b) market and led the growth of its 401(k) business.

Prior to joining Hartford, Ohl spent 11 of the previous 14 years at the Variable Annuity Life Insurance Company. There she served most recently as the senior vice president of Institutional Markets.

Ohl also has worked at Hewitt Associates and earlier in her career she worked with Marshall Thompson and Associates.
