Family Office Exchange expands leadership team

Family Office Exchange has appointed Thomas J. Reilly as chief operating officer to oversee daily operations and guide deployment of digital systems that deliver the firm’s knowledge to members.

"Tom brings to Family Office Exchange a wealth of entrepreneurial, operations, learning and knowledge systems experience," says Sara Hamilton, the firm's founder and chief executive, to whom Reilly will report. "He will help us improve the usefulness of our 21 years of knowledge and experience in working with sophisticated individuals and families around the world. Family Office Exchange members will have around-the-clock access to answers they cannot get anywhere else about family wealth management."

Before joining Family Office Exchange, Reilly served as director of training and development for Omnium, the division of Citadel Investment Group that provides outsourced back office technology services to hedge funds worldwide. There, he developed and executed a number of technology-based training initiatives including building an enterprise knowledge base to support client self service and operational efficiency.

Reilly co-founded Trifus, an outsource provider of online learning platforms. He managed customer relationships, client experience, and software development projects for the firm's major clients. He co-invented a patent-pending wiki/learning management system and developed an online training platform for small to mid-size companies.

Earlier, he served in operations and training leadership roles with startup technology companies and Arthur Andersen.

Reilly began his career at The Lawson Group (later acquired by Dun & Bradstreet Software) where he built online help, e-learning and knowledge systems to improve customer satisfaction.

Founded in 1989, Family Office Exchange provides industry knowledge and wealth owner education to more than 500 members in 22 countries from offices in Chicago and London.
