Northern Trust promotes Norman Greenidge to national director of professional athlete group
Northern Trust has named Norman Greenidge as national director of the professional athlete group.
Greenidge (pictured) will be responsible for meeting the wealth management needs of professional athletes through Northern Trust’s core services of financial planning, investment management, trust and estate planning and private banking.
He reports to Michele Havens, Los Angeles region president.
“We’re confident that Norm will bring a fresh perspective in serving our professional athlete clients by emphasising financial education and working with them to create customised wealth management plans,” Havens says. “Norm has an established track record of successfully working with some our largest and most complex client relationships, and given this experience, was a natural choice to lead our professional athlete practice.”
Greenidge has more than 30 years of financial services experience and has worked extensively with affluent families, implementing customised wealth management strategies. He joined Northern Trust in 1996 and most recently served as a managing director in Los Angeles, leading a team of professionals responsible for providing clients with wealth management, banking and trust services.
Prior to Northern Trust, Greenidge spent 15 years with Chase Manhattan Bank, where he served as a relationship manager in a variety of capacities including personal financial services in Los Angeles, real estate construction finance in San Francisco and international commercial lending in the US Virgin Islands. He also served as an auditor for worldwide operations, with assignments in more than a dozen countries.
