Lombard Odier has appointed Jean-Louis Nakamura as chief investment officer (CIO) for the Asia-Pacific region.

Deputy CIO for Lombard Odier Investment Managers, the bank’s institutional asset management arm, Nakamura was based in Geneva until January.

Nakamura further strengthens Lombard Odier’s investment capabilities in Asia, delivering risk-based investment strategies for clients.

He reports to Vincent Duhamel, head of Lombard Odier for Asia-Pacific.

“We are always responding to the evolving needs of our clients and fine-tuning our offering with dedicated and highly experienced individuals,” says Duhamel. “Jean-Louis brings a wealth of investment experience and has, over the last four years, pioneered Lombard Odier’s risk-based expertise which concentrates on helping clients to achieve their long-term investment goals while minimising drawdowns.”
