Wealth Adviser Awards 2014: Consolidation and UK pensions bonanza are dominant themes for winners

Fri, 25/04/2014 - 15:10

The winners of the Wealth Adviser Awards 2014 gathered in London’s Mayfair today to accept their awards and network with fellow winners.

Opening this year’s awards, Sunil Gopalan (pictured), Publisher, Wealth Adviser, said: “The changes to pensions regulation in the UK are expected to put an estimated GBP25bn of pensions money into play annually. This represents a potential bonanza for wealth managers and will drive further consolidation in the market as the industry model shifts to favour larger firms.”

The Wealth Adviser Awards 2014 showcases wealth managers, advisers and service providers who are successfully realigning their business models to deal with the challenges of regulation, deregulation (in the pensions sector), and to profit from consolidation, strong investment models and significant investment in technology.

The winners of these peer-to-peer awards include fully-fledged global private banks, fast-growing independent wealth managers, advisers and service providers united in their determination to deliver market-leading products and services to their clients in an increasingly volatile and rapidly changing marketplace.
