Skandia, part of Old Mutual Wealth, has appointed Tom Hawkins as head of UK proposition marketing.
This is a new role which will have responsibility for the development and marketing of Skandia’s customer proposition in the UK, covering platform, pensions and investment solutions.
The role has been created to enable Skandia to have specific focus on its UK and international customer propositions.
Previously Phil Oxenham headed up both the UK and international proposition marketing teams and he will now focus solely on the development and marketing of Skandia’s international proposition.
The expansion of the proposition marketing team follows a number of additions to the Skandia proposition, including the launch of the WealthSelect investment proposition in the UK and the continued development of Wealth Interactive internationally.
Hawkins has been at Skandia for 15 years. He previously headed up the strategy and research team and prior to that had roles within the sales team and marketing development.
Michelle Andrews, marketing director at Skandia, says: “I am delighted to announce the appointment of Tom Hawkins as our new head of UK proposition marketing. Tom has done a fantastic job contributing towards the strategy of the business and will play a key role in shaping our UK proposition going forwards.”
Hawkins says: “This is a really exciting time for our business as we set in place our vision of becoming the UK’s leading retail investment business. We have taken some key strategic steps recently, with the acquisition of Intrinsic, and the development of WealthSelect. This rapid pace of change creates a more dynamic business, and I look forward to leading the UK proposition team through this next phase of our journey.”
