Semper MBS Total Return Fund passes USD50m milestone


The Semper MBS Total Return Fund has grown to more than USD50 million in assets as of 30 April 2014 on the strength of strong absolute and relative performance.

The mutual fund, launched by Semper Capital Management on 22 July 2013, seeks to provide a high level of risk adjusted current income and capital appreciation.  
 
Since inception, fund performance for Institutional Shares (ticker symbol SEMMX), net of expenses, was +13.08 per cent, compared to a 3.05 per cent return for the fund's benchmark index, the Barclays US MBS Index ­ an excess return of 10.03 per cent.  
 
Year-to-date through 30 April 2014, the fund has delivered performance of 4.04 per cent, net of expenses, compared to 2.52 per cent for the index.
