Aspiriant appoints chief investment officer

US wealth management firm Aspiriant has appointed John Allen as chief investment officer.

Allen is primarily responsible for leading the firm’s overall investment strategy and research group.
The group, comprised of 12 investment professionals, is responsible for asset allocation, portfolio construction, manager selection and risk management.
Allen, who is based in Los Angeles, brings an extensive background in private asset management and business development. He has spent the past five years at Grantham, Mayo, Van Otterloo & Co. in San Francisco.
