Brooks Macdonald Funds (BMF) has appointed David Scammell to the newly-created role of international business development manager, as the team further develops its international offering.
Scammell will be based in BMF’s Mayfair office in London and will be responsible for promoting and distributing BMF’s range of funds both internationally and in South-West England.
Scammell has over 16 years’ experience in the financial services industry and joins BMF from Frontier Investment Management, where he was senior business development manager with an international focus. Previously he worked for Friends Provident International in a variety of business development roles, which included several years located in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur.
Mark Watson, head of sales for BMF, says: “David brings to the role a wealth of international experience as well as excellent relationships with advisers across many of our target markets. We look forward to working with David, whose insights into international markets will be invaluable to the team.”
Scammell says: “I am delighted to be joining BMF and the new business development team, in supporting their international and domestic growth strategies. I believe BMF’s broad investment proposition, excellent client service and highly rated performance add value to clients both here and abroad and I very much looking forward to promoting the team’s wide range of wealth management solutions across multiple jurisdictions.”
