Gresham Partners hires Kim Kamin as chief wealth strategist
Gresham Partners, an independent wealth management firm, has appointed Kim Kamin as a principal, serving as chief wealth strategist and a client advisor.
Kamin (pictured) will help lead the firm’s estate, wealth transfer, philanthropic and fiduciary planning activities.
As chief wealth strategist, Kamin will continue her active involvement with various professional organisations and her writing and speaking on topics related to wealth planning and management.
“Adding Kim to our team continues Gresham’s commitment to deliver the highest quality of integrated wealth planning and investment management services. She can apply her extensive experience as a nationally recognised trusts and estates attorney to assist our clients with strategies to preserve and transfer their wealth over multiple generations,” says Ted Neild, president and chief investment officer of Gresham Partners.
Kamin has 17 years of experience counselling high net worth individuals, families and closely held businesses on a wide array of issues in wealth transfer and preservation, entity restructuring, succession planning, trust and estate administration, asset protection and philanthropy. She also has an extensive background representing beneficiaries, fiduciaries and custodians in legal disputes, as well as serving as counsel for the formation and operation of not-for-profit entities.
“I look forward to working closely with Gresham clients and assisting them with all aspects of their financial affairs,” says Kamin. “I was attracted to the firm’s foundational commitment to providing conflict-free advice and its longstanding focus on service that includes helping clients take advantage of appropriate wealth transfer and estate planning strategies.”
Kamin is an adjunct professor at the Northwestern University School of Law, and is a Fellow with the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC). She serves on the board of the Chicago Estate Planning Council, and on the editorial advisory board of Trusts and Estates Magazine. She is a member of the Economic Club of Chicago, where she serves on the Young Leaders Committee.
Prior to joining Gresham, Kamin was a partner in the private clients, trusts and estate group at Schiff Hardin in Chicago.
