Sarasin & Partners boosts charities department

Sarasin & Partners has appointed Alexander True and Edmund Salveson as investment managers within its charities team.

True has nine years of investment experience and joins from Standard Life Wealth, having previously managed private clients and charities at Credit Suisse.

Salveson joins from Brewin Dolphin where he was deputy head of research and had worked for the previous eight years.

The charities department at Sarasin & Partners currently works with approximately 320 clients with assets under management of GBP4.8 billion.  This amounts to over 35 per cent of the total assets managed by the partnership of GBP13.8 billion.

Richard Maitland, partner and head of charites, says: “We are delighted to have been able to recruit two such high calibre professionals.  Our charities business continues to grow: we have added to both clients and assets in each of the last eight years.  Hiring Alexander and Edmund is an indication of the continued strategic importance of managing the investments of charities and other not-for-profit institutions.  While we have grown steadily, we remain committed to providing market leading and forward thinking investment services, strong performance and bespoke reporting for our clients.  By adding further to our team, we are ensuring that we continue to provide the highest levels of service for our clients over the years ahead.”
