Ziegler hires Robert Moats to head wealth management business

Specialty investment bank and broker-dealer Ziegler has hired Robert (Bob) Moats as senior managing director, head of Ziegler Wealth Management and member of Ziegler's executive committee.

Moats joins Ziegler with over 30 years of experience from Morgan Stanley and predecessor firms.

Tom Paprocki, CEO of Ziegler, says: "Bob could not have come to Ziegler at a better time. We are in the beginning phase of the golden age of wealth management globally, and Ziegler is committed to several growth businesses with wealth management being a major focus. Bob's vast experience and skills will accelerate our growth both organically and through attracting external talent. Anyone who has met Bob knows he is a perfect fit to lead this advancement."

Moats says: "It is an honour to join Ziegler and lead its wealth management business. I am inspired by Ziegler's history and dedication to the communities it serves. This firm is truly unique, offering both full-service investment and special credit-driven products, all the while providing a responsive, personal touch with its clients."

Moats began his career at Shearson Lehman Brothers as a financial advisor in 1986 in Omaha, New England, ascending to a complex manager role in 2009 with Morgan Stanley in Chicago.
