Paisley joins the company as one of five investment directors in Standard Life Investments’ smaller companies team. His previous roles include five years (2006 to 2011) as senior investment manager within the Kempen Capital Management Pan-European smaller companies team, where he managed the Kempen Sense Fund NV. More recently he was investment director, UK smaller companies at Scottish Widows Investment Partnership.

Nimmo says: “We are delighted to welcome Andrew into the fold at Standard Life Investments and into the smaller companies team in particular. Andrew’s track record to date is impressive in terms of managing European and UK smaller companies equities. Annualised returns at each previous employer were consistently ahead of benchmark. With 16 years of investment experience behind him, of which fourteen involve smaller companies equities, his input within our process, fund management and stock selection is likely to be prodigious.”
