Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp names co-chair of trusts and estates practice
Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp (MSK) has named Jeffrey K Eisen as co-chair of the firm’s trusts and estates practice group.
He joins practice co-chair and MSK governing board member Allan Cutrow in the role, ensuring that both remain fully available to clients of MSK’s growing trusts and estates practice while serving key firm leadership roles.
“Together Jeff and Allan have done a tremendous job carrying on the tradition of this practice, one that historically has represented some of California’s largest estates, as well as the estates of prominent individuals like Marilyn Monroe, Irving Berlin, Elvis Presley and Albert Einstein,” says MSK chairman Kevin Gaut. “The volume of work continues to grow, so with Jeff and Allan both leading the group, MSK is well-positioned for future growth in a critical area for our clients.”
In 2016, US News Best Law Firms awarded MSK’s trusts and estates practice a “Tier 1” ranking in the Los Angeles metropolitan area. Eisen has been recognised as a leading trusts and estates lawyer by Southern California Super Lawyers every year since 2008 and by Best Lawyers in America every year since 2013. Eisen represents high-net-worth individuals and their families in the full range of estate planning and administration matters. Currently representing Muhammad Ali’s estate trustee, Eisen previously represented the Farrah Fawcett estate and frequently is asked to comment on celebrity estate matters by national media.
“I’m honoured to be able to work closely with Allan to maintain the firm’s leadership in the trusts and estates area and to continue to attract the best talent to our group,” says Eisen.
“Jeff is the epitome of a trusted advisor to his clients and long ago emerged as a leader within MSK,” says Cutrow. “I’m excited to lead our trusts and estates group with him as my partner and collaborator.”
