Amundi reports global ETF inflows driven by US dynamism in July

ETF Market Flow reports, YTD and MTD, up to July 2018, compiled by Amundi reveal that inflows into the global ETF market continued their momentum in July, totalling more than EUR39 billion during the month, and in particular driven by the dynamism of the US market.

Amundi writes that since the beginning of the year, the total inflows stand at EUR229.5 billion.

In Europe, investment flows into ETFs increased but remained relatively modest over the course of the month, at EUR4 billion. July saw equity ETFs gather EUR1.9 billion in the region.
US equities lead the regional inflows (+EUR1,791 million) followed by the Eurozone (+EUR243 million). Conversely, FX Hedged Global Equities saw the highest level of regional outflows (-EUR842 million), followed by Emerging Markets (-EUR392 million).
On a single-country level, China topped the ranking with an increase of EUR62 million of flows, followed by Switzerland with EUR61 million. Spain however lost EUR105 million.
