New long-term asset structure raises more questions than answers


This week sees us examining the long-term asset structure proposed by The Investment Association, to try and deal with the type of illiquidity that has hit the Woodford fund. Philippa Aylmer talks to industry participants and the AIC’s chief executive, Ian Sayers, on how liquidity issues could be resolved for the advantage of the investor.

It was survey week in wealth land with three in a row, all equally valid. We hear from PwC that the wealth and asset management industries have increased their optimism, while analysts AKG report that MIFID II is impacting on the businesses of wealth managers and platforms. And then we are back to AI, with a round table from Bravura Solutions reporting that artificial intelligence and machine learning are having their impact.
