Welcome to the Hub

Welcome to this issue of Wealth Adviser’s weekly newsletter, collating the best of our coverage over the week. We have two pieces this week on subjects that lie close to the wealth management community’s heart – platforms and impact investing, or more specifically the millennial love of impact.

Philippa Aylmer interviews Standard Life’s Jenny Davidson as their Investment Hub hits GBP10 billion in separately managed accounts. “Clear segregation between financial planning and investment management is crucial to meeting the needs of financial advisers and discretionary managers,” Davidson says.

We also have an interview with Guillaume Mascotto of American Century, whose latest survey reveals that millennials are driving demand for impact investing. Millennials, those aged between about 21 and 38, displayed heightened interest in impact investing in both the US and UK, at 65 per cent and 72 per cent, respectively, the firm found.
