A busy week again for ETF launches with a nice range of themes.
MerQube and FreightWaves announced the launch of the MerQube FreightWaves Supply Chain Tech Index, designed to provide exposure to publicly traded global companies operating in the supply chain technology sector.
DWS launched the Xtrackers India Government Bond UCITS ETF in collaboration with Nippon Life India Asset Management, noting that the economy of the world's second most populous country is growing strongly, with real gross domestic product (GDP) increasing by 8.7 per cent in 2021, and the International Monetary Fund forecasting a rise of 7.4 per cent in 2022 and 6.1 per cent in 2023.
Fund giant AllianceBernstein announced the launch of its first set of active ETFs on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE): the AB Ultra Short Income ETF ( NYSE: YEAR) and the AB Tax-Aware Short Duration Municipal ETF ( NYSE: TAFI).
