Global ETF launches for 22nd to 29th September

It was a busy week for ETF launches with a wide variety of sectors covered, and geographies with launches in Brazil, Taiwan and Singapore.

Heavyweight US firms Putnam and Schwab launched products this week: Putnam bringing us two new active ETFs, one offering exposure to the US’s business development companies, and Schwab bringing us a municipal bond ETF.

Blockchain was on the minds of BlackRock who launched the iShares Blockchain Technology UCITS ETF [BLKC], noting that the growth of digital assets and the blockchain ecosystem has continued to increase, driving demand for investment strategies in this emerging universe.
