Merz, in a speech at a party event near Hanover, said that the attribution of the attack to Russia by the German government was clear

HANNOVER, GERMANY, Sept 5 (Reuters) – German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said on Saturday that a drone attack attempt on a German airport last month shows that Germany is facing a “deep rupture”, with long-range consequences that will only become clear in retrospect.

Merz, in a speech at a party event near Hanover, said that the attribution of the attack to Russia by the German government was “clear and legally grounded” and issued a clear warning to Moscow not to continue promoting a hybrid war.
