An intruder entered the property of former United States Vice President Kamala Harris in Malibu, California, on the night of Friday, the 11th.
The individual breached the grounds where Harris and her husband, Doug Emhoff, live, but was blocked by security staff before reaching the house itself.
AP information indicates that Harris’s security team alerted Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies, who went to the house around 10:30 p.m. Upon arriving, the officers contacted the intruder and advised him to leave. The person left voluntarily.
Harris and her husband were not at home at the time of the incident, according to spokesperson Eduardo Negrón. “They are grateful to the security agents and officers who responded promptly,” he said.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said a report of trespassing on property had been filed, and, as a precaution, the deputies from the local precinct would increase patrols in the area.
