WHO: No Signs of New Infections in Russia After Death

GENEVA, 6 Oct (Reuters) – The World Health Organization (WHO) said on Tuesday that Russian authorities had identified all the people who had contact with a female employee of a plague research institute’s laboratory in Siberia, who died from unknown causes.

“All the contacts of the patient would have been identified and are being monitored for the presence of symptoms of the disease, and none of them has shown symptoms so far,” said the WHO spokesperson, Christian Lindmeier.
