The Brazilian defender Éder Militão, of Real Madrid, was the victim of a robbery at his home in the La Moraleja neighborhood, in Madrid, during the match against Barcelona, on October 25, according to a report by El Mundo on Saturday. Militão was at the Spotify Camp Nou, in Barcelona, but did not come off the bench, while his family watched the game at home.

Two thieves broke into the player’s house during El Clásico and took jewelry and watches valued at €350,000 (about R$ 2.1 million) from the rooms on the upper floor. Militão’s family, who were on the lower floor, did not notice the criminals’ actions.

The intrusion is said to have occurred through an open window on the third floor between 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. (local time). The thieves were spotted by security cameras. At 9:50 p.m., police and condo security knocked on the door of the house and asked if anyone had seen two people with suitcases. Militão’s family replied that they had not.

The police then requested permission to search the interior of the home and found Militão’s bedroom, on the second floor, completely ransacked, with the security camera ripped out.

Returning home, Militão noticed that a Rolex watch valued at €53,000 and another Richard Mille, valued at about €170,000, had disappeared. In addition, three Chanel bags valued at around €15,000, Cartier rings and bracelets totaling about €25,000, and other jewelry, bracelets, and suitcases were also taken.
