Trump Says He Will Help US States Get Rich with AI After Democratic Victory

8 November 2026

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, signaled that he intends to help American states “get rich” with the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI), in a post on Truth Social this Friday, the 6th. The comment comes amid assessments of what the Democrats’ victory in the House and Senate may mean for the future of the AI sector and for the expansion of data centers.

“As president, I am 100% in favor of Superintelligence (SI) and I will work with the many U.S. states that wish to become RICH by adopting it. It is like gold, and only foolish leadership would say ‘NO’ to the riches it provides!”, he wrote.

On Thursday, stocks of AI-related companies tumbled in New York. Analysts say that, with Democratic control of both chambers, the environment for AI-enabled companies, and for the sector’s ecosystem as a whole, could become more challenging, amid the prospect of tighter regulation.
