The interim president of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, said this Saturday that the ‘diplomatic dialogue’ with the United States was the way to resolve the differences between the two countries, after both governments agreed to establish diplomatic and consular relations.

“We reiterate our willingness to build long-term relations based on mutual respect, equality, and international law, with the aim of promoting a working agenda that strengthens cooperation for the benefit of both countries,” Rodríguez said in a post on X addressed to the President of the United States, Donald Trump.

Earlier, while speaking about the Latin American countries, Trump stated that the interim president of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, is doing “an excellent job,” simply because she is cooperating with the United States.

“If she weren’t working with us, I wouldn’t say she’s doing a good job,” he said.
