“The enemy promotes its interests as if they were news, while at the same time threatening our nation. A great mistake,” wrote the president of Iran’s Parliament
The president of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, warned on Monday, the 30th, that the country’s “enemies,” referring to the United States and Israel, would be met with “multiple” retaliatory strikes should they attack Iran.
He also mocked the statements of American leaders regarding negotiations to end the conflict.
“The enemy promotes its interests as if they were news, while at the same time threatening our nation. A great mistake,” wrote Ghalibaf on X, adding that the Iranian people, “will make the enemy regret the aggression and reclaim their rights.”
Earlier, the President of the United States, Donald Trump, suggested that Ghalibaf was negotiating with Washington on behalf of Tehran. The Iranian is seen, by the US and Israel, as the main figure to succeed Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei in leading the regime.
