Legally Blonde Actress Arrested After Attacking Flight Attendants on a Plane

14 October 2026

The actress Selma Blair, 54, was arrested on Sunday the 11th after attempting to open the door of a moving airplane and assaulting two flight attendants, according to authorities. One of them needed to be hospitalized.

The incident occurred when the artist was on a Delta Air Lines flight from Los Angeles bound for John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York, and the plane was parked at the boarding gate.

According to the Port Authority, the actress also had to be taken to a hospital for medical treatment.

A representative for Selma Blair stated, without going into details, that the actress’s aggressive behavior was triggered by “a medical emergency,” but that she is now in stable condition.

In 2018, Selma was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, and she shares her routine in dealing with the disease’s effects with the public.

Last year, she had stated that she was undergoing a treatment that reduced the intensity of the disease’s symptoms. However, there is no information whether the confusion occurred due to multiple sclerosis.

The FBI, responsible for investigating all assaults that occur on board aircraft, refused to disclose details of the case.

“Yesterday, we were informed by our partners at the Port Authority Police Department about a possible assault on board a flight that arrived at JFK,” said Sydney Kleinmann, a spokesperson for the FBI’s New York office.

“Under the long-standing policy of the Department of Justice, we do not comment on ongoing investigations,” she added.

At 54, Selma Blair has previously appeared in films such as Cruel Intentions, Legally Blonde, Hellboy, and Scream 2. Last year, after stating that the symptoms of multiple sclerosis were milder, the actress also said she planned to resume her career in front of the cameras.
