On his social media accounts, the President of the United States, Donald Trump, expressed indignation over the attack on federal immigration agents in Minneapolis, which ended up killing a man amid the government’s crackdown on immigration.
In a post published on Saturday, the 24th, backed by a photo of an alleged weapon of the shooter, Trump reiterates his defense of federal action. He also accuses local leaders of being “weak,” of “inciting unrest,” and criticizes the lack of support from local police, while state and municipal authorities denounce the excessive use of force and call for an end to the operations.
“The fraudsters, who stole the money, are going to jail, where they deserve to be! This is no different from a major bank robbery. Much of what you are witnessing is an attempt to cover up this theft and fraud,” the American president stresses.

Earlier on social media as well, the governor of Minnesota, Tim Walz, denounced that federal agents fired at a person in Minneapolis, who ended up dying.
Subsequently, the city’s mayor, Jacob Frey, condemned the U.S. government’s response to the wave of protests in the city. In a statement, Frey addressed Trump directly saying: “this is the moment to act as a leader.”
In response to the political attacks, Trump replied: “The mayor and the governor are inciting an insurrection with their pompous, dangerous, and arrogant rhetoric! Instead, these hypocritical politicians should be seeking the billions of dollars that were stolen from the people of Minnesota and the United States of America.”
Finally, he emphasized in bold letters: “LET OUR IMMIGRATION AGENTS DO THEIR JOB!” Twelve thousand illegal immigrant criminals, many of them violent, were arrested and expelled from Minnesota. If they were still there, you would see something far worse than what you are witnessing today!
