Milei Backs Bolsonaro Family in 2026 Elections

10 January 2026

The Argentine president, Javier Milei, supported Flávio Bolsonaro for this year’s Brazilian presidential elections.

“In Brazil, I have friends. The Bolsonaros. I prefer a solution with the Bolsonaros and not a solution with 21st-century socialism,” Milei said in an interview with Oppenheimer Presenta, on CNN en Español.

In response, Flávio Bolsonaro posted on X that, in addition to being a friend, the “Argentina will have a true commercial partner in Brazil starting in 2027!”. His brother Eduardo also commented on the network: “Milei has his moral compass in good shape, he knows the dangers of communism, socialism, progressivism and all that Marxist trash – Argentina felt it firsthand with the Kirchners.”

The Argentine president also again harshly confronted the Nicolás Maduro regime and reaffirmed his alignment with the United States in the fight against dictatorships.
