FinoComp’s Tubman: why ‘10 per cent depreciation rule’ is so unpopular

Ray Tubman (pictured), CEO at FinoComp, a micro-services software company for the wealth management industry, describes the ‘10 per cent depreciation rule’ as divisive and one of the least worked on pieces of regulation by MiFID.

The rule states that clients are to be notified within 24 hours if a discretionary managed portfolio falls 10 per cent or more in a reporting period.
