10 October 2026

MOSCOW, Oct 9 (Reuters) – Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Friday that his country was ready to supply oil and refined products to the markets of the United States and the world, and that this would help the global economy as a whole, according to a statement released by the Kremlin.

The U.S. President, Donald Trump, had said shortly before that Russia would immediately supply 300,000 tonnes of diesel to global markets, following a telephone call with the Russian leader on Friday.

Putin’s statement, released by the Kremlin, said that the two leaders also discussed the resolution of the Ukraine conflict and the situation in Iran.
