Trump Attacks Democrats and Again Questions the 2020 Presidential Election Result

3 May 2026

The president of the United States, Donald Trump, attacked the Democratic Party again in a post made this Saturday, the 2nd, on a social network. In the post, he criticizes the Democratic leader in the United States Senate, Chuck Schumer, and the hiring of former Attorney General Eric Holder, who served in the administration of former President Barack Obama, to oversee initiatives on “election integrity.”

Trump repeated the claim that the 2020 presidential election had been rigged—without providing evidence—and stated that the Democrats were trying to “destabilize” the country.

The president also urged a tougher response from the Republican Party, to which he belongs, and argued for the end of the filibuster, a Senate mechanism that can be used to obstruct votes, as well as the adoption of “safeguards” for elections ahead of the midterm elections. “Be tough, Republicans. They are coming, and they are coming fast,” Trump wrote.
