The President of the United States, Donald Trump, announced on Saturday afternoon (the 7th) that he had offered Dana White, the UFC’s CEO, the position of White House Press Secretary. The Brazilian fighter Amanda Nunes is among the assistants suggested by the leader.
In a post on his social network, Truth Social, Trump also asked the UFC chief to bring with him a team of assistants composed of fighters and former fighters, “even if some are not from our country.”
Besides Nunes, a two-division UFC champion regarded as one of the greatest in the sport’s history, the president points to the names of Khabib Nurmagomedov, Justin Gaethje, Daniel Cormier, and Kayla Harrison.
“We need these people to defend us against the Mad Left,” Trump wrote. Last Tuesday, the White House chief watched the Republican party lose control of both houses of Congress to the Democrat in the midterm elections.
Since October 16, the Press Secretary’s Office has been awaiting the decision of its new commander following the departure of Katie Zacharia after only five days in office.
“Dana will be a Press Secretary like no other. Dana, please accept the position!”, wrote Trump.
