The President of the United States, Donald Trump, promised this Friday (11) that he will protect the country for future generations and stated that Washington will continue to fight against the threats of terrorism. The remarks were made at a ceremony commemorating the anniversary of the September 11 attacks.
“Never, ever will we forget. That is why we fight today. We have no choice. There can only be victory. We fight with determination. We fight to win,” said Trump. “We will always remember the victims and the families of September 11.” The Republican also thanked the Americans who fought in the “War on Terror.”
“The number one sponsor of terrorism will never have a nuclear weapon,” he stated about the Iranian regime.
Trump did not go to Ground Zero in New York on the 25th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks and, instead, marked the occasion with a speech at the Pentagon. He and First Lady Melania Trump listened to the names of the 184 people who died at the Pentagon that day, read aloud at the start of the ceremony.
