Trump Says US Won’t Use Nuclear Weapons in War Against Iran

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, said on Thursday that he would not resort to a nuclear weapon in the war against Iran.

“Why would I use a nuclear weapon? We would totally decimate them, in a very conventional way, without it,” Trump told reporters at the White House when asked.

“No, I would not use it. A nuclear weapon should never be allowed to be used by anyone,” he added.

Asked how long he would be willing to wait for a long-term peace agreement with Iran, Trump replied: “Don’t rush me.”

According to him, Iran may have loaded its armament “a little” during the two-week ceasefire, but he added that the U.S. Army could finish it off in about a day.

“Their Navy is finished. Their air force is gone, their anti-air defense is gone… perhaps they armed themselves a bit during the two-week hiatus, but we will finish it off in a day, if they did,” added Trump.

“I want to strike the best deal. I could make a deal right now… but I don’t want to do that. I want it to be eternal,” he said.
