Trump Says Venezuela Will Deliver Up to 50 Million Barrels of Oil to the U.S.

7 January 2026

The American president, Donald Trump, announced just a short while ago that Venezuela’s interim authorities will deliver between 30 and 50 million barrels of oil “high-quality and sanctioned” to the United States.

“This oil will be sold at its market price, and that money will be controlled by me, as the President of the United States of America, to ensure that it is used to benefit the people of Venezuela and of the United States!”, added Trump in a post on Truth Social.

The Republican also asked that Energy Secretary Chris Wright execute the plan “immediately” and noted that the barrels would be transported by storage ships and taken directly to unloading docks within the country.
