The president of the United States, Donald Trump, said on Wednesday, the 4th, that he had learned a ‘softer approach’ to his immigration policy after the protests in Minneapolis that resulted in two people killed by federal agents of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
“Still, firmness is needed,” he told NBC News, after saying he was dealing with criminals.
The president also said that it was his decision to withdraw the 700 ICE officers from Minneapolis “immediately.” “It wasn’t something I did just because I wanted. We are waiting for the Minnesota government to release prisoners, hand over the killers who are detaining them, and all the bad people,” he said.
