Trump to Attend G7 Summit in France, Axios Reports

France is hosting the G7 this year, with a leaders’ summit at the resort on the shore of Lake Evian-les-Bains, at the foot of the French Alps, scheduled for June 15 to 17.

U.S. President Donald Trump will participate in the G7 leaders’ meeting in France in June to discuss artificial intelligence, trade, and combating crime, Axios reported on Tuesday, citing a White House official.

Trump wants to talk about tying U.S. aid to trade, promoting the adoption of artificial intelligence tools developed in the United States, and reducing China’s control over critical mineral supply chains, among other topics, Axios said.

Trump’s relationship with many G7 members has been increasingly tense due to his war against Iran, among other issues.
