The President of the United States, Donald Trump, rejected on Sunday night (the 22nd) a deal with the Democratic Party for the Senate’s approval of the Act to Save America, which would alter the voter registration process. Trump argued that lawmakers should end the obstruction of the measure and, if necessary, work through Easter to pass the package.
Trump also stated that a deal with what he called the “crazy radical left” would be unacceptable unless it included the requirement that voters present a photo ID and proof of citizenship at the time of voting, in addition to the elimination of mail-in voting.
The American president also spoke about blocking transgender women from participating in women’s sports and ending what he called the “mutilation” of transgender children in the bargaining with the opposition.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump also accused the Democrats of cutting US$5 billion from ICE funding.
Finally, the president urged Senate Majority Leader John Thune to identify the Republicans who “vote against America.”
