US Destroyed More Than 10 Ships Using Sea Mines in Recent Hours

10 March 2026

“”I am pleased to inform you that, in the last hours, we hit and completely destroyed 10 vessels or inactive ships used for laying mines, and more will come!”, said Trump

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, said on Tuesday, the 10th, that American military forces destroyed 10 vessels that would be used to deploy sea mines, without indicating where the attacks occurred.

“I am pleased to inform you that, in the last hours, we have hit and completely destroyed 10 vessels or inactive ships used for laying mines, and more will come!”, Trump said in a post on Truth Social.

The statements come after the leader threatened Iran with military consequences “of a level never seen before,” should the Persian country refuse to immediately remove the explosive mines in the Strait of Hormuz, something not yet confirmed by Tehran nor Washington.

Trump also edited a previous post on his Truth Social profile, adding that the U.S. military forces are using in the Strait of Hormuz region the same missile technology employed against vessels in the Caribbean Sea, prior to the capture of former Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro.
