The U.S. Department of State released on Monday, the 2nd, a security alert urging American citizens to leave several Middle Eastern countries due to rising security risks and possible missile and drone attacks in the region amid the conflict between the United States and Israel against Iran.

“Leave immediately by commercial transport due to the serious security risks,” says the State Department alert, which cites the regions of Iran, Iraq, Bahrain, Egypt, Israel, the West Bank, Gaza, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, the United Arab Emirates and Yemen.

The department also said that all members of the U.S. Embassy in Jordan left the complex in the capital Amman temporarily due to a threat.

The evacuation occurred after King Abdullah II of Jordan received a phone call from U.S. President Donald Trump, during which they discussed the regional escalation in the Middle East and its implications for global security, according to Jordanian state media.

According to the report, the king ruled out an attack on Iran and emphasized the need to intensify efforts to achieve broad and sustainable calm for the region.
